What are Veneers?

A veneer is a “thin piece of porcelain used to re-create the natural look of teeth, while also providing strength and resilience comparable to natural tooth enamel.” They are custom made to the contour of your teeth and are bonded to the tooth’s original enamel.

Composite Veneer

Composite veneers are usually placed directly onto the tooth by the dentist and shaped for individual aesthetics. They are a good economical restorative solution to improve the appearance of your teeth. It can be used to close spaces, change the colour of the teeth, mask any discolorations, repair chips, alter the size or shape of teeth, and give jumbled or crooked teeth a straight-looking appearance.

Porcelain Veneers

Porcelain veneers are thin shells of porcelain which exactly fit over the front surfaces of the teeth. The veneers can completely mask unattractive stains and shape while letting light through to appear entirely real. They are made of a very strong ceramic materials design to last for years even decade.

What To Expect During a VENEER Procedure

    1. Your dentist will remove a small amount of the tooth surface to permit placement of the veneer.
    2. An impression is taken of the tooth and sent to the dental laboratory.
    3. The dental veneer is then made to fit the tooth and mouth.
    4. The veneer is bonded to the tooth with resin cement.
